...chinese new year 2008...

Writing this during the stay in Renaissance Parc 55 San Francisco

This year chinese new year wasn't as lucky though.. just one week before chinese new year i lost few items and damages amount to about 1K...

It started 2 weeks before CNY.. ting actually called for a meeting but the meeting was a short one, so we agreed to meet up one week later for st. james party, which was also supposed to be a bdae celeb for dear wdy..

tat nite, 3 of us turn up but ting herself.. and we shared a locker and left the keys with wdy. we ordered 3 jugs of housepour, including one long islang.. then as i start to get off my seat and head for a toilet, i fell backwards onto the ground instead.. giddiness sneaks in so sudden that i had no idea i was already drunk.. i tried to maintain steadiness and walk through the crowd for the toilet... i must say it wasn't easy if i hadn't bother too much abt my image..lolxXXx.

st came late then..nevertheless still show up..which i was expecting him to fly kite since his frenz wanted to club elsewhere.. but by the time he reached, wdy soon pulled me aside to tell me her little secret, "erm.. i'm actually leaving le...coz xxx fetching me back is waiting outside..". with the look of guilt in her face seeking for apologies, i asked for the keys to the lockers. "hur? i thot i'd given it to you..??" she claimed. the sudden shock wake me from my drunky head as i replied, "since when u pass me the keys? i dun even have a pocket to keep it??"

Suddenly both of us saw the risks..and straight away we headed for the counter to report the lost of keys. but by the time the mgmt brought the master key and bring us back to the lockers, we realised it was already opened and emptied. Frantically i searched again for nearby lockers, hoping that it was in another locker untouched nor found by someone else...
Then, our belongings was found to be another locker way impossible to be misplace. Obviously, someone had replace the bags there and found those things in the bag to be useless. I checked my bags then, only to conclude with disappointment - lost camera worth $400, hp purchased a years ago at abt $400++, and cash of $250. But the person has shown signs of sympathy - s/he left 3 pieces of $10 notes, suggested by st, believed to be some cash for cab home, with due consideration of midnight charges and that i might be staying in jurong..hmm..

wdy was apologetic and offered to top me for the loss. Afterall both of us din want to get into too detail whose fault lies where and we know v.well both of us were slightly drunk..

Then again, that nite wasn't really as memorable if not for st sendin me back.. i realise he was with me all those while when i lost my belongings, reporting lost hp/cards.. accompanying n sending me home, though i had ask him to leave first.. i din want him to leave so soon, we tried to drag the times when we'r together a little longer.. purposely missing those cabs that passed by.. purposely asked for breakfast though i can go on diet.. it's a mutual feeling i thought. a fren whom i missed most though we had been keeping in contact. We do have our own partner each and sumtimes i find, time and situation doesn't permit us to see ea other..? Alrite.. maybe he doesn't feel this way.. haha...

And by the way, chinese new year for me is simple this year.. first day to bf's place to bai nian.. then second day fly to hkg/sfo. So... nothing much to interesting...
