...typical call up...
writing this during the stay in D'OREALE grande hotelstrands of unhappy events befallen on me on this flt, and no matter how positively i look at it..i can't help feeling demoralised..
the day whole thing started from being called up for the JNB flt.. which disrupted my japan (NRT) flt, a flt which i long awaited for.. thinking positively about the cop.. i told myself.. since i'm 380 trained.. there's more chance.. wad's more JNB has higher allowance..
transport was catered.. and control told me that the transport should arrive my pick up place at 2320.. so i reached the pick up point at the exact time.. with my big brother helping me with my luggage. After waiting for about 5min when the cab hasn't arrived.. i start to wonder if i got my pickup time wrong.. so i called control again. this time they say 'yayaya the pick up is 2320 ..but the driver say he can't find ur pickup point. you quickly call him at this num 9XXXXXXX.' then i called the driver and he said.. 'u know i came early and went to ur carpark area 3xs and i can't find pick up for ur blk..there's no pickup for ur blk..where u wan me to pick u..??' i replied 'at pickup for blk 576' ..'oh then u should indicate that the pickup is blk 576 and not 578..'
What really happened was my blk has a shared carpark that accomodates 8blks but only 4 blks have the pickup lobby. the carpark entrance even indicate that '570-578'..and he jus have to wait at the blk behind the one that has no pickup lobby. but he simply said 'there's no pick up point..and i came in 3x earlier to look for u but u weren't around...'
1. This is hdb designed area and how m i suppose to tell govt to build a pick up lobby for my blk?
2. then again i have no pb in the past and i do not understand y i have a pb with him..
3. And coming in early wasn't my pb in the first place.. if he's really that early, he could have turn into the carpark area after the pick up time..of coz he couldn't have notice me since he left the pickup location even before my pickup time.
4. Wad's more the address is according to my co records.. m i suppose to change my address in the co records just bcoz he couldn't find the pickup lobby??
PLAIN STUPID AND NO COMMON SENSE..
So when he reached, he keeps yelling 'there's no pick up lobby for ur blk and i was here for 3xs' repeatedly to defend himself. my elder brother straight away sense his abruptness and yelled back 'U'r late!' commandingly.. 'What do u mean i'm late, i came in 3xs u and... ... .', 'U'r late means u'r late! I was here at the exact time. She(me) will be late. Just go..!'. The angry driver yelled back,'u shut up! SHUT UP n GET LOST!!' at my brother. And my brother with even stronger character shout back, 'U then SHUT UP and GO.Just Go!!! she's gonna be late bcoz of u..!' u just can't imagine how embarassing it is in the mid of the late nite 2320, 2 man shouting for 'SHUT UP N GET LOST' thingy.. about to fight.. while i'm in the midst of them.. helplessly dunno wad to do... i tried cooling my brother but to no avail. the conversation was so heated i end up closing the cab door and sit by myself in the car...while the quarrel continues..
I dunno who finally walks off from the arguements but the cab left in the end.. and i was with the driver.. who keeps cursing (of coz!) and asking 'who's dat..how's he related to u.?' when i answered him as my elder bro.. the driver even ask 'r u 2 of the same parents..?y is it that ur attitude are so different from him?' Clearly, the first question already pissed me off. who was he to question me and doubt my sibling.. but i'm just plainly keeping my cool.. then he keeps defending himself that he's not late and that there's no pickup lobby..even though I pointed out to him that the carpark entrance has the sign 570-578, he just would not accept the fact.

I should have guessed that usually SBCU is usually not a very good flt.. bcoz ppl usually report sick on certain conditions (i)not a long flt, (ii)really very ill, (iii)red alert on board. And true enuff i think i've got them all..
I was assigned C4(assisting crew) who is supposed to assist biz class J3(primary operating crew) on the 72E a/c. I declared 3rd/4th solo when i totally forgot it was only my 2nd solo.. lolxXx... then the reply came more like shouting from the boss 'i dun care how many solos is that..it can be ur 40th solo and this can also be my first solo..' i treated it jokingly and left with a message,'haha.. okok.. just fyi..'
then during the flt.. being new, unfamiliar with compartments and where equipments are, face sacarsisms and boss's ego.. yet i have to treat it all with a polite smile which i'm expected to, or otherwise will be thought as rude and giving attitude. words like 'u'r jnr.. u slow means u'll be zap..!', 'faster, faster..' I was supposed to be assisting the J3.. end up i working more like the J3 then the C4(assisting).. and guess wad.. i wasn't even appreciated for the help and straight away after 1st service, i was instructed to go back to my original eco class to help finish the service. Dun i even deserve a drink? and wad abt the J3?? U mean she may start to rest and pack her stuff??
After much effort and trying to help.. boss came to me one to one saying, 'actually u'r good ah.. who's ur ward leader..blah blah blah..' But by the end of the flt... he made on the PA 'CAROL WHERE ARE YOU.. WAD ARE U BUSY WITH? U'R SUPPOSED TO COME UP BIZ CLASS TO HELP WITH DUTIES...!!' Everyone gave me a look.. some pity me.. though i can't stop thinking that some ppl might think i'm trying to skive.. really.. i din know i was suppose to assist coz i was really busy with my own duties (clearing toiletries to be exact).. Thinking of which i really think he didn't have to made it on the PA to discredit my efforts like that.. after 10hours of flt.. everyone's tired.. wad's more i'm covering 2 positions. Wad's worst was even the J3, knowing that i'm still new.. will not even give me a hint/call to ask for help. If she really needs help.. all she needs to do is to ASK!!
