...second outing...
oHhh... today's an interesting update.. geez..
My second day meeting that shuai ge.. still feeling abit awkward.. we've planned to come out together for a movie - "The Face" at cineleisure. Upon reaching, we realised that it wasn't screened in cathay, so we strolled all the way to Golden Village @ Plaza Singapura. Hee... strolling was my idea, taking a cab was his. I didn't want to travel that fast, maybe it's becoz i wanted to spend more time talking to him.. haha.. esp walking thru the 'new nite hawker' oppo centre pt and lightings like b.boss along the way there.
When finally we booked our tickets, we had our dinner. He's a guy who insist that i must have dinner when i'm with him. Although he don't take dinner regularly as well. After which, there was still time left and we walked ard PS. On general, guys dun shop dun u agree so?? To be frank, I'm actually not used to shopping with guys. hMMm.. so i was abit restricted to walking into a ladies clothes/shoe shop ya...?? heheh.. We went in movie on time, but show started late. The movie was average, but i believed the impt thing is the person watching with you. So i enjoyed the show to a certain extend, coz it's meant to be frightening.. but at certain scenes, i was luffing and trying to scare him or anticipating the reaction/outcomes of actors... lolxx..
After the movie, we came out of the theatre. This is really embarrassing. I was so immersed talking to him about some "shortcut exits to toilet" topic and i bum myself onto some obstacles. The funny thing was not how i fell or how i landed painfully, but it was his reaction. He was shocked and his immmediate reaction was really really really very fast to grab me from the falling by ... hugging.. me?? hmMm.. Well at that moment i push him away softly, and didn't dare to look at him.. *blush* Was thinking how could i be so careless. Somehow felt being taken advantage of.. =_< but he did apologized, though he was still smiling... agghhhhh.. But it was also this incident that slightly "break the ice" between us i think..
hMmmm... realli *blush*... it's onli the 2nd outing.. somehow felt too fast too furious... lolxx...
...My |ast MemORi35 In eDo...
Finally, after much struggling, I've quit and today was my last day working in Edo. So I celebrated this day together with Geraldine and Regina @ Sentosa in the morning!! YeaH~~ yIpPeE~~ I missed them so much. They were so enthu when i told them i'd be free today and they onz me straight away ya..!! Geez.. we made some new frenz there then and had volley ball games. Updated each other about our current affairs. Seriously I enjoyed their company definitely and hope we'll come out again~~
This evening, I rushed down to Edo for work. hahha.. Poor thing, there was no crowd at all.. quite quiet... i tried to ring some frenz down for dinner but unfortunately it was too last min, nobody entertained me.. =_|.. It was only when we are closing, this zhenxiong came strolling at the doorstep happily.. hee.. Lucky he didn't intend to come for dinner, he just came down out of boredom i suppose and sent me home.. hMMm.. well this person will only reminds me how we used to work under a same building(thomson plaza), but different company(he's in OJ)... and everytime when we are working night shift on the same day, we'll exchange sushi and ice cream and take bus home together munching our 'da pao'...Occasionally, his father will send us home and i'll sit right at the corner at the back, fearing that the 'fishy oily restaurant' smell will stink everyone in the car.. lolxx... of coz he quitted long time ago. He did helps to bring back some enjoyable moments again in EdO..
... awww... Think i'm gonna miss this place....
...fiRst oUtiNg...
Had been busy. Can't remember for whichever purposes. hee.. I managed to find some guts in me to meet out with that guy who sent those flowers.
Previously we had communicated via sms, and dated to see each other at yishun northpoint. I was late again, mayb trying to delay the time.. Upon seeing him, I was at a lost again. Well, I didn't come out prepared with any idea of where to go, and definitely i was tired after the whole day's work. So i request for a cup of coffee at starbucks then. Initially he came out with an idea to bring me to a ktv pub in yishun. In the end, we end up travelling to clarke quay, where he claims that there is a 'ghost house' that he wants to bring me to, and hopefully there would be a 'neo card' machine where we can take picture.
Unfortunately, when we reached the place, we realised that it was under renovation and there were no machine ard at all. We end up in a jazz pub, ordering drinks, playing card tricks and games. Well, definitely i've enjoyed his company. We chatted abt our likes and dislikes. From our conversation, I derived that he's a real sweet sweet hyper sweet talker.. droo|s~ ;p~ . Before he actually sent me home, we had a talk at a quieter environment, where he requested for a next outing. Geez... of coz i agree with it man~!! Can't help but attracted to him siah~...
Well, frankly speaking, on this first date, my conclusion was that he must have been a real "bad guy" b4, he might still be one now, there is a chance where he might no longer be one anymore~!! He's that tattoo which seems to be a 'whole body' one instead of a 'small patch' type, he smokes, he drinks.. awww... i realli wonder if he flirts.. haha... but worst of all... i'm attracted to him.. hmmm..
...S.I.A...
Didn't intend to tell everyone about it at first. Went to SIA interview to try my luck on the 14 Aug. In my email it stated to reach at 8.30am, but i took a cab down and reached the place at 8.15am. There were already 3 ladies queueing up. It was too early and the guards didn't allow us to enter the place yet.
First Day(14, Friday) - The first interview was a short one. 10 interviewees and 2 interviewers. Through a short self introduction, the interviewers selected 2 or 3 out of the 10 interviewees without asking additional questions. Quite lucky that i was selected bcoz i was being interviewed with a group of Degree holders. The second interview was a one to one interview with a guy. Without asking much, he just passed me too and asked me to come back on tuesday for another round of interview.
Second Day(17, Tuesday) - The first test of the day was to try their sarong kabaya and check for scars, complexion etc on mainly face and arms. Having passed that round, I went for the second test on psychology online test. Third test was to give a speech infront of everyone. This time round, i misunderstand the topic and the interviewer interupts me abruptly and asked me to go straight to the pt. Being too anxious, I couldn't speak well and the chief executive actually fail me. Quite upset though but intending to try again. hee...
...diarrhea.. brings it all away..
Indeed the diarrhea has flush quite some bad luck off me ya!! Started working yesterday, Friday 13. Which was supposed to be unlucky ya?? This young dude walks in to the queue, so seeing nobody serves him, I signalled him to my counter. He is average in size, tanned and cool, also with a pair of colored lens. He asked for linking of the newest mini debit to the saving acct then, which was a transaction still quite new to me. Infact, I was unwilling to help, so i called 'F1' for my senior beside me, trying either to push the customer to her, or to reject the customer upfront..*chuckles*. Who knows.. my senior insisted that I should learn the transaction and right in front of the customer she made some embarrassing remarks. So unwillingly again, I tried to ask for help everywhere so as to complete the transaction. Of coz i notice, the customer was somehow now staring at me and i didn't dare to look back.. Finally i managed to complete the transaction and release the customer, hoping that he'll leave asap. Can't stand the stare. But he didn't leave immediately then.
By the end of the day where my bank is closing, the cisco brought in a bouquet of assorted colors roses with a receipt and said it was a delivery for me!! My first thought... who would ever know i'm working there.. a neighbourhood branch bank?? and with my exact name on the receipt?? Gosh... I took over the bouquet and noticed the attached note. The moment i read the note and looking back at the flowers.. to be frank.. it somehow melts my heart. It was quite a big bouquet.. It was sent by the young dude ya!!! We don't even know each other, I can't believe he'll spend the money on those flowers. I couldn't stop laughing, same goes for all my collegues, they couldn't stop laughing me!! Awww.. Thinked i have created a history for my bank.
...national day yet sick..
9th August - National Day. I'll always rememer the day i went cycling with my god bro all the way from Bedok to Kallang via East Coast, and then to Espanade and back to Bedok during last year's National Day parade preview. It was the most enjoyable National Day preview i had. My god bro was then in army service and had some clicks helping out in the parade preview. So we sneaked into the preview then and watched the fireworks together. It was really amazing when the fireworks started, and the moment you look up into the sky, U'll feel that u'r surrounded by the sparkles. Awww... I missed that day. So this year, I booked my bro out again. This time, he had a new car, so instead of riding bicycle, he drove me to the open greenery where the opposite views are tall buildings of the cities. That was where we sat behind his car and chatted and watched the fireworks.
After which, we went to East Coast newly established hawker to have our dinner and we ordered fried oyster. It was quite oily though and had those kind of seafood/oyster 'stinkiness'..lolxx.. So it still seems quite alrite to me. Never did i know... that was actually a plate of killer oysters!!
Well, the nxt day i woke up, I felt like puking. Obviously i never thought that it might be the 'doings' of the killer oysters. So i rest a little bit more and continue to work. Still felt fine for the first day. Then comes the second day. Immediately after I woke up, I rushed to the toilet and started throwing out whatever i had eaten for the past 2days!! Gosh, in total, I vomitted 8times and felt weak after that. Visited doctor, claimed MC, stayed at home. That was how i spent for the second and and third day. Poor me... What a day.. Had been quite unfortunate for some time le....hElPpPPp~~~ F1 F1 !!!
..got my cert, threw my wallet...
Oh ya.. what a day!! Yesterday was my Graduation Ceremony then. Even bought and prepared the most formal outfit for it. A formal black jacket and pants. After 3yrs of fighting and struggling between studies and work, this day finally comes. But.. somehow someway, i just felt.. it doesn't seems as important to me as before anymore... Anyway, I attended the ceremony just hoping to see those familiar faces i missed.
Well, it wasn't a good day afterall. The moment Wendy and I went down to Blk S to retrieve our certs, I realised my wallet was gone. Somehow i knew i misplaced it at the reception area while busy taking photos with some friends, but I couldn't think of anywhere i could have place it. Anxiously, we went back to where we have come from, and all the way back to the auditorium to look for it. Still couldn't find, I gave up, hoping someone kind hearted soul may return it. I reported the lost to one of the lecturers then and luckily there was one really helpful sir who help me to take note to the estate. So luckily this early morning, the school called me saying that they've found my wallet. Well, and this is how i will remember my graduation day was. I really missed out quite alot from the photo taking session.. awwww.....
few of my graduation pictures taken. rare. the only few ya..? Wendy and Me!!
Xiao Mei & Da ge~~!! cheers~~
..smilezZZz....dear dearer dearest..
Geraldine n Me
...left... all left...
Having sleepless nites again recently. Have you ever come to a point where you had the heart to continue but had no strenght to walk further and you just feel like giving up? Have you ever fight your stand/belief and had fell to the lowest level of moral?
Another round of major changes again at EDO again. Management conflicts causes the subordinate to work with stress. Ting left, Boss left, zhihui left, and now one by one, little chris, followed by little jengying and reiko has left. Again, me alone. Seems like back to square one. Then ... memories starts reflecting again, through my mind whenever I'm back at the restaurant working. I used to have companies there, playing powerpuff gers with me, playing maria, playing nicknames. Working is enjoying and relaxing. Or should I say, I should have expected this day long ago?? I should have expected either of us to leave one day. There and then, a malaysian collegue reminded me.."Don't worry, Singapore is just small little country as compared to Malaysia. If you have the heart, meeting up is not a problem." True enough, but will we have the time to meet again??
But what upset me most was the way they left. It wasn't a happy ending afterall. Out of nowhere, the 2 bestest company at work left, one telling me that she's facing personal problems which she does not want to share, the other saying that we cared too much for her. Out of nowhere again, I felt a thundered heartbreak. I rather they leave the place happily, rather than being stressed to leave. Nobody in the first place wants them away. Everyone was trying to retained each other, but trying toooo hard...Now the image of their back facing me, and walking out of the restaurant was sooo deep, that I really wished I could follow behind, and followed closely. Now the thought of leaving is soo strong yet I could not. Why? Bcoz Cedesy's(our supervisor) still there, she said to me, "I came back for you guys, of coz i need support from you all.. I thought i could help, but none of you gave me the time to prove it..." she was actually sobbing right infront of me n boss at 2.30am, saying how useless she thinks she is, how demoralized she becomes at work... how her moral has drop to lowest level when all her fav staff approach her "greatest enemy" instead of her. Everytime we came to discuss this matter, I think I've already got an ans, and as long as one is still there for us, I'll be there if she needs help..As soon as we found a replacement, we'll leave the company too.. Just.. wait for us... ...
...first 2 weeks at UOB...
hey folks.. me back.. To summarize what I've been going through for the past few weeks, ever since my last update.
5 Jul - 18 Jul: Having training at tampines. Didn't really had time to play around. Promise myself to make this time to learn as much as i can. On the 14 Jul(Wed), I met up with some others to visit boss at Jurong East Outlet.
19 Jul - 25 Jul: First week to manage a counter on my own. Interesting, yet fear of shortage everyday. Everyday seems to be a routine UOB EDO day. What I mean ish.. EDO after work at UOB. No life. The only days I have is spent with some friends I really hope to be with. No time for myself.
26 Jul - 1 Aug: Still busy with that kind of routine UOB EDO day. Preparing myself for the coming graduation day. Bought a suit myself. At UOB, everyday is a challenge to me. I could say it's a place where i really build up confidence in handling bulk cash. Everyday before lunch break, I'll frightened my neighbouring collegue with a blurred look. Just for the first two weeks, I've been shocked for at least 3 times, due to cash shortage. And now everyday before my lunch break, they'll allow me to balance my cash earlier, and asked me many times,
"Are you OK?" ... haha.. Indeed, the collegue, ah Ju (Juliana), who sat beside me must have a hard time, managing her customer and occasionally my interruption. Lucky enough that she is very experienced, and many times help me to solve my problems. I kind of think that I'm a burden to her, and there was even once I said,
"You are quite unfortunate to have me sitting beside you huh??hehe.." and she replied jokingly,
"You're rite!!". Well, still I learnt quite alot from her. She was the person I mentioned previously, whom always talks behind others' back. I'm quite certain that she must have been laughing at me many times. Oh well, who cares anyway, people there have their own eyes and beliefs. The 3 lessons/incidents I met and affected me greatly:
1) Cash Shortage of $200. A customer walks in to withdraw $100 and I keyed in deposit of $100 instead. Had to call the customer back to reverse the transaction.
2) Cash Shortage of $200 again. This time round, I mistook a $800 stack of '$10 notes as $1000 and insist that customer gave me $200 more than what he intend to deposit. By lunch, I realised the error and had to call the customer back. Lucky that he is our regular customer and did not really reprimand me at it.
3) Cash Shortage again of $1000. Customer withdraws $4000 and request to have $1000 in '$50 notes and the rest in $1000 notes. Having in mind that customer wants to withdraw $4000, I pass out 4 '$1000 notes, in addition, $1000 in '$50 notes. In total, I paid the customer $5000, instead of only $4000. Called the customer twice but he insist that he received the correct amout. Luckily, he was a regular customer and the next day he came back to our branch to return the $$ saying that he did not have the time to check as well. Teller job isn't easy afterall. All job carries stressed.. ...
